With preparing for the move and keeping up with work, finding time to get out for pictures isn’t always as easy as it has been in the past. There will be more time after the move for my hobby, but, for now, it will be whenever the opportunity presents itself. So far, the best chances of getting out to practice the photography skills has been when Craig travels to a ghost town to capture some footage for his Most to Ghost history segment, which broadcasts on Shaw TV in Saskatchewan. More of Craig’s work can also be watched on his YouTube channel, Canadian History Ehx.
We travelled to Brooking, Saskatchewan on Aug. 4, 2017, and were surprised at how many buildings were still standing. The old grain elevator was the first structure we visited, before heading over to the rest of the town where we saw a few houses and the old school house. At its height, Brooking was home to 118 residents.
